Intelligent co-robots: demonstration

Published on Sep 16, 2015

This video presents processed footage from robotic demonstrations showcasing 2014-2015 progress on an independent research & development project, Intelligent Co-Robots, conducted by the Research and Exploratory Development Mission Area at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.

The video portrays a mock disaster scenario wherein a heterogeneous team of robots is deployed to investigate a potential chemical spill in a shipping container. The robots are primarily controlled through supervised autonomy, where high-level commands are used to direct the search.

Recorded during a live demonstration at the DARPA Robotics Challenge Technology Expo on June 6, 2015.
