TanSat was sent into a sun synchronous orbit about 700 kilometers above the Earth and will monitor the concentration, distribution and flow of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere every 16 days, during its three-year mission.

Fengyun-3 (风云三号气象卫星) is one of China's second generation of Polar-Orbiting Meteorological Satellites, which can provide global three dimensional all-weather and multi-spectral remote sensing images. The Fengyun-3D satellite and the Long March-4C (Chang Zheng-4C, CZ-4C, LM-4C) were developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The satellite will be operated by China Meteorological Administration (CMA).

CFOSat was developed jointly by CNES (Centre national d'études spatiales) and CNSA (China National Space Administration) to study ocean surface winds and waves. The satellite has two radar instruments: SWIM (Surface Waves Investigation and Monitoring) which will survey the length, height and direction of waves; and SCAT (wind SCATterometer) which will measure the strength and direction of winds. As secondary payload, Long March-2C launched five small satellites: Xiaoxiang-1, Zhaojin-1, Tianfuguoxing-1, Changshagaoxin and CubeBel-1.

China’s new rockets, Long March-9, Long March-8 and Smart Dragon, were presented at the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. Long March-9 (Chang Zheng-9) is a heavy-lift launch vehicle designed to carry a payload of 140 tonnes into low-Earth orbit and 50 tonnes into Earth-Moon transfer orbit. China plans to launch Long March-9 around 2030. Long March-8 (Chang Zheng-8) is a medium-lift launch vehicle, expected to make its maiden flight in 2020. Smart Dragon No.1 or Lightning Dragon No.1 is the first rocket in the Lightning Dragon series, developed by ChinaRocket under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

Jilin-1 Gaofen-03D-01 (高分03D01), Gaofen-03D-02 (高分03D02) and Gaofen-03D-03 (高分03D03) will join the previous Gaofen-03 launched to “provide users in forestry, agriculture, grassland, ocean, resources, environment and other industries with richer remote sensing data and product services”. The fifth satellite launched was Xingshidai-10 (星时代-10), a low-cost satellite. According to official sources, all five satellites entered the scheduled orbits and the launch mission was declared a complete success.

According to official sources, PakSat-MM1 “is based on the DFH-4E satellite platform with a liftoff mass of 5400 kg, and equipped with 9 antennas and 48 transponders in C, Ku, Ka, and L bands”, providing “various services such as broadcasting, regional enhanced communications, high-throughput broadband and the Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) services”.
