Infinium Warehouse Drones - Concept Video

Published on Dec 2, 2014

Concept video for fully automated warehouse that works 24/7.

Infinium robots are able to move individual items in the warehouse in an efficient manner and for organising their products on their pallets.

Concept video of the future warehouse where smart autonomous robots arrange goods on pallets in a coordination fashion from conveyor belts with no human intervention. Unmanned forklifts transporting pallets unto the container trucks outside of the factories. Robots are equipped with on board sense and avoid sensors with decentralised control. There is also realtime and centralised control for the management of robots and monitoring its systems and battery level.

Contact Infinium Robotics for more information on research collaboration to equip your warehouse with the latest technology.

Demonstration of our Infinium Scan warehouse drone at Hewlett Packard

Published on Sep 10, 2017

This is a video of a product demonstration at Hewlett Packard (Singapore) on 29 Aug 2017. The product demonstration of our Infinium Scan drone was conducted in HP Singapore's auditorium.

The green barcodes signifies that the boxes are at the correct locations (as indicated in the WMS). The red barcodes signify that the boxes are at the wrong locations. The misplaced boxes will then be "flagged out" to the warehouse supervisor.

More about Infinium Scan drone:
Drones are flown autonomously using our in-house proprietary indoor navigation technology. A pilot is not needed to fly the drone, unlike most solutions in the market now. There is no need for any man-in-the-loop in the stock-taking process anymore! Either a barcode or RFID reading system can be implemented on the drone system.

Drones can reduce the labor intensive process of checking stocks around the warehouse to one day. It currently takes a month to finish manually for a typical large to mid-sized warehouse. The potential cost savings can be in the $millions/year for a large warehouse operator.

Warehouses are a great fit for drones. Warehouses usually have quite tall ceilings so a drone can easily climb the heights of the ceilings. Drones have short battery lives, so in a warehouse they can fly and recharge and launch again. Drones have difficulty navigating obstacles, so a warehouses familiar layout should make it easy to plot safe routes. Drones are best at flying and taking pictures, and scanning inventory is a natural extension of that.

There are 3 main advantages of using drones/robots to do stock-taking:

1) Reduction of manpower costs
2) Reduce pilferage and loss of goods as cycle-count is taken more regularly
3) Better accuracy and higher visibility of stock levels as time taken for cycle-counting is greatly reduced. This will directly result in higher sales revenue, as operational efficiency is increased.

Infinium Scan - Fully autonomous warehouse drone stock-taking system

Published on Sep 19, 2017

This is a video of our indoor drone system in operation in Bollore Logistics warehouse.

There is no need for any man-in-the-loop in the stock-taking process anymore! Either a barcode or RFID reading system can be implemented on the drone system.

Information collected by the drone system will be seamlessly integrated into the WMS of the warehouse operator and the system will flag out discrepancies in the stock automatically without human intervention.

Benefits of Infinium Scan:
(i) Fully Automated
(ii) Higher Accuracy
(iii) Faster Stock-taking

The Return on Investment (ROI) for Infinium Scan comes from:
1) Reduction of manpower costs
2) Reduce pilferage and loss of goods as cycle-count is taken more regularly
3) Better accuracy and higher visibility of stock levels as time taken for cycle-counting is greatly reduced. This will directly result in higher sales revenue, as operational efficiency is increased.
