Ever wished you could unlock doors, turn on your lights, or log into your computer with a simple swipe of your hand? Amal Graafstra does just that as one of the first and most well-known "do-it-yourself" RFID (radio-frequency identification) implantees in the world. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

The media seems determined to use the fear factor of biohacking to boost their ratings, this is bad as we now have many people around the world that have been misinformed about the technology and developed an incorrect understanding of the tech.

In this interview with Amal Graafstra, pioneer of biohacking and founder of DangerousThings, we debunk the false information and fear mongering that is being spread around the internet by the media, and provide facts about exactly what the technology does.
