Mega Robot returns

Uploaded on Sep 11, 2008

This project was developed as an in house project at Kaktus Film. Initially its only purpose was to develop our skills when it comes to photo realism but instantly grew to a nice promotional piece for us. After having being submitted on some major 3D forums the link to the spot was sent around Internet and very fast received high appreciation around the globe with massive feedback and requests for similar projects.

The entire production including postproduction and sound design was completed in house during a two month period.

"Mega Robot Rampage"

Uploaded on Jun 10, 2009

Following up on our remarkable success with the first Mega Robot viral, the time has come for the sequel, Mega Robot Rampage. Now even more action packed with blockbuster special effects, explosions and of course, an annoying dog. This time Mega Robot is quietly out and about enjoying some Stockholm landmarks when something catches his attention.
Produced as an internal project for showing off photoreal abilities Kaktus Film directed and created the entire spot. Check it out.

Mega Robot Smelly Finger

This is an inhouse production between projects and was created just for fun and to test some new compositing techniques.

So don't be alarmed by the childish humour, it's all in the name of science:)

Iron Man 2 Canada Robot Kaktus Film

Uploaded on May 11, 2010

Hi everyone,

Here is a pitch that we were asked to do by the folks over at Marvel to showcase some alternative robots for IRON MAN 2.
Unfortunately the shots didn?t make it into the final cut of the film but we still want to show them to the community.

The idea was to display different countries failed attempts to create their own Iron Man/STARK technology.

We shot it on RED in Stockholm and produced the rest at Kaktus Film HQ.

3D software used was Maya and 3ds Max. Mental Ray for rendering.
