This tiny, (worlds smallest?) quadcopter just came on the scene. I had already opened and flew it so this is actually a fake unboxing and maiden flight.

Estes Proto X EP 2.4GHz RTF

Published on Nov 22, 2013

Meet the Proto X from Estes, the brand you know and trust. Not only is the Proto X the world's smallest quadcopter, it's also one of the world's lightest! The 1.8" x 1.8" Proto X is tiny, ideal for indoor flying -- and it weighs only four-tenths of an ounce. Bright, built-in LEDs make it easy to see the Proto X in low-light conditions. A 2.4GHz radio not only allows for interference-free flight -- it makes it easy for multiple Proto X helis to fly at once. A 3.7V 100mAh LiPo battery, USB charge cord and spare rotor blades are also included in the ready-to-fly package. All you need to add are two "AAA" batteries!

Is the Estes Proto X ultra Micro Quad worth it? See my 3 mods and judge for yourself.

Published on Dec 17, 2013

From Tower Hobbies, the Proto X body is just bigger than a Postage stamp and at only $39, you might want to see my 3 Mods before buying one. Tiny is good, but this Proto X is ridiculous and sick!
It is the smallest production Quad I have seen yet. Lets take a look at it and see if it is big enough to go goldfish fishing with.
My pros and cons are at the end of the video so enjoy the fun. I've been told I should buy a different Transmitter for it. I'm cheap over here. When I buy something complete, I should not have to go buy anything else, you know! But, I am curious, so I just ordered the Hubsan TX to see what all the buzz is about.

Will the Hubsan X4 TX really work on the ESTES Proto X Micro Quad?

Published on Dec 27, 2013

When I made the video of my mods on the Estes Proto X, I complained about the small TX. Many of you suggested I get the Hubsan X4 since the TX allowed flips, had rudder trims, and was in a bigger more ergonomic package. So I went ahead and bought the X4 from http://www.thinkrc.com and tried to use the TX on the Proto X.. Here are the results.

Proto-X SLT EP 2.4GHz RTF

Published on Oct 7, 2014

The Proto-X SLT makes the world’s smallest quadcopter even more incredible!

A larger 2.4GHz radio with dual rates is just the start; now, pilots can execute flips and other mild-to-wild maneuvers with a single button-push.

An Auto-Upright system keeps the Proto-X SLT stable in any flight condition. Toss the quad in the air, and Auto-Correcting Technology keeps it level. Even beginners can fly the Proto-X SLT with complete success!

The colorful body is designed for easy LiPo battery installation and replacement. Colorful LEDs make it easy to see the Proto-X SLT in any light condition.

Also, since it comes with the SLT protocol built-in, pilots can fly this cool quadcopter with popular radio systems like the Tactic® TTX650.

As always, the Proto-X SLT comes with a USB charger and four spare rotor blades. All you need to add are four “AAA” batteries.
