Biologically inspired robot takes on the wave field

Published on Aug 26, 2017

Prof. Shai Revzen's lab has developed an inexpensive technique to rapidly fabricate useful robots, requiring only two stock materials and a few hand tools. With the modules that power the robots, a crate-full of these materials one can build a great variety of robots. These bots can help with a search an rescue team tackling unexpected situations, a robotics start-up company trying to make a new product prototype, a high-school robotics classroom teaching teams of kids about the principles of robotics, special forces collecting intelligence behind enemy lines, or even future astronauts on moon or mars.
