RoboCup 2017 Humanoid AdultSize Final: NimbRo vs. Sweaty

In the final game of the AdultSize soccer tournament our NimbRo-OP2 robot met Sweaty (Hochschule Offenburg, Germany). Both players were capable. They walked quickly, saw the ball reliably and kicked strongly. NimbRo had advantages in fights for the ball and maintained a very stable balance. It scored one goal after the other. After 7:0 at half time, the game ended early with a score of 11:1 for NimbRo.

The current situation linked to COVID-19 sadly led to the postponing of this year RoboCup 2020 at Bordeaux.

The videos shows scenes from the RoboCup 2022 Humanoid AdultSize competition in Bangkok, Thailand.
The robots of Team NimbRo of University of Bonn, Germany, won the main soccer tournament, the Drop-in tournament, and the Technical Challenges. Consequently, NimbRo came in first in the overall Best-Humanoid ranking.
