Zollner Elektronik AG developed and constructed the world's largest four-legged walking robot.
„Tradinno" is a remote-controlled, outdoor-capable walking robot with dimensions never seen before. Tradinno -- its name is a mashup of "tradition" and "innovation" -- is a mechatronic system starring in Germany's oldest folk play "Further Drachenstich", performed each August in the Bavarian town of Furth im Wald.
The 11-ton dragon, 51 feet long, with a 40 foot wingspan, is driven by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine. It is listed in the newly released "Guinness World Records 2014" as the world's largest walking robot.
Zollner Elektronik AG, founded in 1965 in Zandt, Germany, has 17 international sites, including one in Milpitas, California.

The largest walking robot measures 15.72 m (51 ft 6 in) in length, 12.33 m (40 ft 5 in) in width, 8.20 m (26 ft 10 in) in height and was made by Zollner Elektronik AG (Germany) in Zandt, Germany. It was displayed in Berlin, Germany, on 27 September 2012.

Robot dragon "Tradinno" walks
Many of you asked for a clip showing "Tradinno" walk. Well, here it is. "Tradinno" is listed in the Guinness Book of Records 2014 as largest walking robot. It was developed and constructed by Zollner Elektronik AG, headquartered in Zandt, Germany.
As many of you may have noticed, Tradinno is not very fast. He COULD walk faster, but he's not allowed to. The German Technical Association (T?V - the organization that validates the safety of products in Germany) demands that three of Tradinno's legs must always be firmly on the ground, that's what prevents the dragon from walking like a typical quadruped. We want to be safe, that's why we prefer our dragon to be slow.
