Starting Jan. 11, poker pros are competing against artificial intelligence developed by Carnegie Mellon University in an epic rematch to determine whether a computer can beat humans playing one of the world’s toughest poker games. The creators of the AI, Computer Science Professor Tuomas Sandholm and Ph.D. student Noam Brown, explain why this kind of poker is a benchmark when it comes to artificial intelligence.
