This EZ-Robot is named JD .
The JD Robot includes the Wi-Fi 200 MHz 32 Bit EZ-B Robot controller, Vision Tracking Camera, 16 Metal Gear Servos, 7.4v LiPo Battery, and Charger. JD can be programmed and controlled by your iPhone, iPad, Android Device, or Microsoft Windows
JD is a fully functional humanoid robot, built with EZ-Bits. His body shape is designed to resemble a human. A humanoid design is functional for many purposes, such as interacting with human tools and environments, for experimental purposes, such as the study of bipedal locomotion, or for other purposes. This humanoid boasts 16 degrees of freedom with his 16 Heavy Duty Servos!
JD has a torso, a head, two arms, and two legs. The head of this robot contains a camera for vision tracking modes, including color, motion, glyphs, QR codes and faces. Each eye has 9 RGB LED's, which can be programmed for a variety of expressions. The included EZ-Builder Software makes it easy to create animations to customize movements.
There have been questions on the EZ-Robot Community Forum on how DJ was able to make JD move and do handstands, etc... I grabbed the camera and we made a quick unedited video to answer that question for the community.
See, it's easy
JD learns how to pour us some delicious cereal!
It's Friday and ezrobot Revolution JD is letting loose!
The ezrobot accelerometer/gyro/temperature sensor is a clip'n'play ezbit for Revolution robots. Adding the control will allow your robot to understand which way it is positioned so it can get back up!
Hey, can I hitch a ride? Sure can, JD!
DJ from EZ-Robot met up with one of their long-time members, Kenny in Seattle Washington. Who had built a custom humanoid powered by the EZ-B v3 Controller.
Tracking a red rubber duck with the JD Ez-robot. Enabling color tracking in the camera control will activate the point and track script to track and point at objects that he recognizes.
