    Glider First Robot Walking Test

    My new hexapod robot Glider taking his first steps... this is a very simple gait algorithm, no real optimization and configured to go as fast as possible. End result, an average speed of 0.5 m/s (~ 2kph). I lost my Gold with Ziggy in the Walker Challenge at RoboGames last year to a robot walking approximately 0.17 m/s...

    Glider Sprinting

    The hexapod robot Glider runnng a modified ripple gait, giving an effective speed of 0.6 m/s. This is faster, more stable and more fluid than the equivalent alternating tripod gait and will be used in the Walker Challenge at the upcoming RoboGames.

    First skating algorithm test for Nick Donaldson's new hexapod robot Glider. The wheels are passively mounted at an angle to the legs, allowing them to roll on the ground when the legs are spread.
