CeyHornet, the quad-wing hybrid drone of the University of Moratuwa

    Published on Sep 24, 2017

CeyHornet is a small test drone to combine vertical take-off and landing (VToL) and with fixed-wing flying. With the VToL capability, the drone cam take-off and land vertically anywhere, including tight urban neighborhoods. With fixed-wing flight, the drone can fly efficiently and have long endurance in the mission.
Based on the successful development of this quad-fixed hybrid drone, we are looking forward to VToLing bigger drones such as half-scale RAVAN (4kg), and CeyHawk (10kg).
This project is generously funded by the National Research Council of Sri Lanka, and it is being carried out at the UAV Research Laboratory of the Dept of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa.
