We got a first hand look at CogniToys Dino at Toy Fair 2016 in NYC. Love how he/she changes its answers based on the age of the child. Speech recognition seemed good, but as this is for 5-9 year old kids - will have to see how it does when kids talk to it.

CogniToys will sell for $99 and be available in Fall 2016.

Here is all the info -

SPEECH ENABLED

Children can ask CogniToys thousands of questions, give the toy commands, hear and create stories, listen to knock knock jokes and so much more. Interacting with CogniToys will allow the toy to develop a unique personality that will continue to evolve based off of the child's interaction with the toy.

INTERNET CONNECTED

CogniToys are internet "connected" smart toys, allowing for the play experience to constantly improve.

PERSONALIZED

Each toy will get to know the child and grow with him/her interacting directly with them to create an experience around each child's personal interests. The toy will explore favorite colors, toys, interest and use these to customize engagement. Even better, the toy has a personality of its own that changes over time.

EDUCATIONAL

Built into the play experience are a number of custom modules that engage the child in educational play; these including rhyming, spelling, vocabulary, mathematics and much more. As the interaction increase so will the challenge of the educational content continuing to become more challenging as the child learns.

How It Works:
1. Parents connect their CogniToy to Wi-Fi via the iOS/Android app using a unique identification code. Once a toy is connected it's ready to play!
2 As the child begins to play with their Dino, CogniToys will slowly adjust to its content and experience based on how the child is using the toy, vocabulary levels, interests, etc.
3. Parents can access their "Parent Panel" at anytime to view engagement activity and provide certain play restrictions such as setting a bedtime.
4. CogniToys will continue to evolve through additional content updates by Elemental Path, parent settings in the Parent Panel and through continued child interactions with the Dino.
