    Published on Apr 17, 2013

Such a Random Video for the Collection...

By using this QinetiQ robot for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), technicians can effectively neutralize a suspected improvised explosive device while maintaining a safe distance in the event of a detonation. QinetiQ claims the Talon is one of the fastest robots in production. The robot costs approximately $60,000 in its "standard" form. Glad to know even with all this technology and hostile action occurring around the world, these futuristic robot's still have time for the kids!!

    Published on Apr 28, 2015

The Hurt Locker got it only partly right. Just ask Brian Castner, a former bomb technician with the US military. He served three tours in the Middle East, two of which were spent leading an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, and deployed small remote-controlled robots to battle a blitz of insurgent-rigged car bombs and improvised explosive devices in and around Kirkuk, Iraq, in 2006. Castner and his crew grew so reliant on these machines, which can disarm explosives from afar, that they considered them part of the team.
