Advanced Robotics - mobile picking robots for warehouses by MAGAZINO

    Published on Feb 18, 2019

Shoe boxes are its specialty: the intelligent picking robot TORU can handle individual boxes and can transport a backpack full of them directly to a handover station. In case of storage or returns? Back they go.

The robot TORU is already in live operation at the FIEGE logistics warehouse in Ibbenbüren, Germany.

TORU can be profitably integrated into many processes – such as storage, picking, relocation and consolidation of the warehouse. From navigation through to the transfer of objects picked with pinpoint accuracy, it carries out transport orders autonomously. Thanks to its capabilities and intelligent software, it can be easily and quickly configured and flexibly adapted to new structures.

Magazino robot TORU at ASICS - order picking of shoe boxes

    Jun 17, 2020

With the implementation of intelligent and mobile picking robots, ASICS is one of the innovative pioneers in the industry. ASICS implemented the robots in their European Distribution Center in Krefeld, Germany.

The continuing growth in e‑commerce and ever smaller batch sizes require automation solutions that can be flexibly adapted and scaled as required. The mobile picking robot TORU from Magazino works completely autonomously with the help of 3D camera technology, numerous sensors and can operate both at weekends and at night. TORU reduces the typical order peaks in e‑commerce and improves customer service by providing faster processing of urgent orders.

Magazino GmbH develops and builds intelligent, mobile robots that perceive their environment and make their own decisions. These autonomous robots work alongside people and make processes in e‑commerce, fashion and production logistics more flexible and efficient than ever before. With over 110 employees in Munich, Magazino is the largest Advanced Robotics team in Europe. Magazino’s investors include Körber AG, Zalando and Fiege Logistik.
