    Robotic pipeline inspection crawler

    Uploaded on Mar 30, 2010

Modular remotely-operated robotic vehicles for inspecting virtually any water or wastewater pipeline.

PureRobotics uses powerful modular robotic pipeline inspection systems that can be configured to inspect virtually any pipe application 12-inches (30.5 centimeters) and larger. Capable of performing multi-sensor inspections in dry pipe or while submerged, the PureRobotics pipeline inspection system has a range of up to 3 miles (5 kilometers) from a single access point.

    Published on Feb 9, 2016

The PureRobotics pipe inspection system is a modular transporter designed to carry sensors and tools through pipelines. The advanced robotic crawler is safer than manned inspections, especially for wastewater and where regulations are keeping people out of pipes in favour of unmanned solutions.

The robot can be equipped with tools such as an inertial measurement unit for XYZ mapping geographic information, 3-D LIDAR scanning tools, or pull condition assessment tools such as 2-D laser technology that can precisely measure the pipeline’s size shape and level of corrosion.

With the new generation, the speed is doubled to 85 feet per minute, which greatly improves efficiency in the field, a huge benefit during time-critical shutdowns.
