Robotic Soccer, from Hexbug, is great for 2-4 players, ages 8+. It includes 2 Robotic Athletes, 2 Infrared Controllers, and 2 magnetic Soccer Balls. There is some minor assembly of the Soccer Arena. The remotes and athletes require batteries, which are included. Before beginning, you can customize your robotic athletes with snap-on jerseys and team stickers. You will need to pair your controller and robot. Once paired, turn on your athlete. The controller is fairly simple - left, right, forward and reverse, and since it's soccer, or football depending on where you live, you will need to kick the ball! Press kick once to lower the robot's "foot," and then again to release the ball. Play a set amount of time, up to certain amount of goals, or just have a classic golden-goal shootout. It's your game, your rules! If you'd like to add more players, additional Robotic Athletes are sold separately. The remotes may take a game or two before you are comfortable, but it won't be long before you're navigating the soccer field like a robotic Pele. Robotic Soccer is a great way to introduce soccer fans to the exciting world of Hexbug. It's competitive and fun and deserves a place in the game room next to classics like Foosball and Air Hockey
