    Sep 15, 2020

Valerie Drew, VP, Chief Op Off of Divisional Control and Regulatory Office, Deustche Bank

The US Intelligence Community, corporate America, and researchers are concerned with the malicious use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the creation of “Deepfakes". "Deepfakes" are the image, audio, or video creation of people saying or doing something or incidents that did not occur. Deepfakes is the new normal that many world leaders are concerned about regarding the influences that it will have on its businesses, citizens, and the ability to combat malware. In this session, we will examine the impact of “Deepfakes” by examining a 2020 case study of Deepfakes creation presented by Kietmann and team from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University and the 2018 research of DeepLocker created by Dhilung Kirat and team at IBM Research. I will also briefly introduce my developing research on the ability to introduced Deepfakes near realtime.
