The origins of Artimus Robotics

Artimus Robotics cofounder and CEO Tim Morrissey sits down to give a brief history of the origins of Artimus Robotics.

Artimus Robotics was born from research during PhD programs at the University of Colorado Boulder where the founding team saw early success with publications in the academic journals Science and Science Robotics in 2018. These publications brought press coverage and early commercial interest. This interest drove the founding of Artimus in 2019. Artimus Robotics has since explored applications of HASEL actuation technology through the sale of Development Kits to key customers such as the US Navy, Google, Honda, and Festo.

2021 is a year of immense opportunity for Artimus Robotics. In this video, Tim Morrissey, Artimus Robotics' CEO, shares some insight into what the new year looks like for the company.
