A recent study from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory suggests that a robotic taxi service could help alleviate traffic and cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. What would this future world look like? Is it realistic? And how far away could it be?

URUS FP6 Project: Romeo as autonomous taxi

This videos highlights some experiments on the final review of the EU Project URUS, in November 2009. Our robot Romeo was able to provide autonomous transportation of persons between different points in the Campus Nord of UPC, in Barcelona. The main results can be found in:
