There were lots of animated robot animal toys exhibited at the annual Tokyo Toy Show held in mid-June at the Big Sight Convention Center.

Strobot is an awesome vintage, strobing 1980s toy robot produced by New Bright Industry Company Limited. Its main feature, as suggested by the name, is its amazing strobe lighting effect that repeat down the transparent arms. Strobot also a smoking robot! Smoke also pours from the mouth and it has a laser gun firing action as well. EPIC! ^_^
The headphone design around the robot's head doubles up as a handle for carrying. COOL! The retrotastic disco graphics and the chrome detailing really adds to the awesome look.
The toy robot stands a whopping 15" tall, is plastic in construction and has two switches to power it up. One on the foot which performs a short test that stops automatically. The other is a standard on/off switch on the back of its head.
