    MegaBots Mark I Cannon Test Fire

    The MegaBots team took the Mark I to a secret location somewhere in Boston and tested out the cannon on a junker. The MegaBall, a 6 inch, 3 lb, paint filled custom projectile, was fired at 120 mph causing massive damage to the vehicle. Check us out and support our Kickstarter!

    MiniMegaBot Design Challenge Trailer

    In January of 2015, MegaBots and Autodesk partnered up to challenge makers from around the world to design the armor plating for miniature humanoid robots, to turn them into example MegaBots.

    Yavuz Selim Balcioglu and Casper Hofstede won the contest with WingLord and Spectre. In this video, we introduce you to the designs, the robots, some of our team, and Autodesk's Pier 9 makerspace, where we're building the robots in preparation for the San Mateo Maker Faire.

    We're making a giant robot documentary!

    We're starting off with Jon "Snackable" Gulko. He enjoys long walks on post-apocalyptic beaches, using giant mechs to unscrew stuck pickle jars, and commuting.

When she's not designing the roll cage and torso of the Mk.III, she performs in a circus, designs ways for the Mk.III to dispense cats, and dreams of using the Mk.III to destroy all the cars on her commute to work.

    It's Monday, and time to meet a new team member! Meet Miles "Laserbeam Unicorn" Pekala. When he's not working on the electrical and control system of the Mk.III, he's building go-karts, making (smaller) combat robots, and designing awesome costumes for theater. He imagines using the Mk.III for both shopping AND world domination.

    Meet Dan "Goose" Pederson! He's a mechanical engineer here at MegaBots who's working on the Mk.III's weapon systems. His hobbies include capoeira, cleaning hydraulic fluid off of himself, and not watching "Top Gun" (apparently).
