Fully Autonomous Intelligent Flying Robot (Infinium-Serve) in restaurants

    Published on Oct 4, 2014

Using Infinium Robotics' proprietary & patent-pending technologies, these robot servers are able to serve food and drinks to customer's tables in fully autonomous mode, delivering food in a fast, safe and classy manner.

The routes to each table are preprogrammed and as the chef enters the table number into the software interface, the robot will travel to the table autonomously, delivering the food to the diners, without any human intervention.

For full service restaurants, food will arrive in a waiting zone in the dining area and the waiter will serve the food to the table.

For self-service restaurants, the robots will deliver the food next to the table.

This robots are equipped with on board sensors and collision avoidance technology to enable them to sense and avoid obstacles and humans or other robots.

The end objective is to improve the productivity in restaurants with lesser manpower while not degrading the entire dining experience.

    Advantages:
    - Fast delivery speed
    - Saves space, maximise revenue per sqft - Uses the space between ceiling and above human height to deliver food & drinks
    - No need for bulky and expensive conveyor belt/food train system
    - Adapts to restaurant's unique layout
    - Plug n Play system
    - Fully autonomous
    - Safe and efficient
    - Increase morale of service staff by allowing them to focus on interacting with customers

Live Trial of Waiter Drones in Restaurants: Infinium-Serve

    Published on Feb 16, 2015

This video was a documentation of the world's first live trial of fully autonomous Infinium-Serve drones to be deployed in restaurants for the improvement of productivity in the Food and Beverage (F&B) Industry. By leveraging on robotics technology, F&B operators can look forward to increase productivity at their outlets.

Food and drinks are served to central waiting stations near to customers, to be picked up by the waiters around the station, while interacting with the customers - enhancing the dining experience of the customers.

Food is served fresh from the bar/kitchen! No more cold food and warm beer!

    - No need to change the layout of the current restaurant - easily adaptable
    - No need to spend money on renovation
    - Robots are modular and can be easily maintained - no downtime for maintenance
    - No need to worry about the robots moving across different terrains, different levels of grounds, steps and staircases
    - Able to sense and detect and avoid humans and obstacles
    - Fast, precise and accurate delivery
