A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched CSG-3, the third COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation satellite, from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, on 3 January 2026, at
02:09 UTC (2 January, at 18:09 PST). Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage landed on Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) at Vandenberg Space Force Base. Falcon 9’s first stage (B1081) previously supported 20 missions: Crew-7, CRS-29, PACE, Transporter-10, EarthCARE, NROL-186, Transporter-13, TRACERS, NROL-48 and 11 Starlink missions. CSG-3 was successfully deployed into orbit.
