Humanoid robot gets back up after falling

Oct 17, 2023

Digit, our human-centric robot, can now self-right and stand back up after it falls. This is footage from our testing lab, where we intentionally disable the perception systems that would normally avoid/adjust to obstacles preventing Digit from falling. For the purposes of this test, we force Digit to fall in a controlled environment to demonstrate our new self-righting and recovering ability.

Why robot control is a lot like riding a horse

Dec 5, 2023

Agility CEO Damion Shelton talks about the hierarchy of robot control and draws similarities to the process of riding a horse.
At Agility, we make robots that are made for work. Our robot Digit works alongside us in spaces designed for people. Digit handles the tedious and repetitive tasks meant for a machine, allowing companies and their people to focus on the work that requires the human element.

Agility Robotics Partners With GXO

Dec 6, 2023

Agility Robotics and GXO are teaching Digit to undertake repetitive tasks such as moving totes from autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and placing them onto conveyors. Reduction of such repetition reduces strain, increases safety for team members and frees them to do more value-added work in the warehouse. GXO’s recent survey confirms better engagement and higher job satisfaction among team members when working with technology. If this initial phase proves successful, it will pave the way for piloting Digit in a wider variety of roles in 2024.

Digit + Large Language Model = Embodied Artificial Intelligence

Dec 14, 2023

Is there a world where Digit can leverage a large language model (LLM) to expand its capabilities and better adapt to our world? We had the same question. Our innovation team developed this interactive demo to show how LLMs could make our robots more versatile and faster to deploy. The demo enables people to talk to Digit in natural language and ask it to do tasks, giving a glimpse at the future.

What can Digit do? - Part 1, Automated & Manual Putwall Systems

Apr 8, 2024

Leveraging Mobile Manipulator Robots (MMRs) like Digit for putwall tote induction and deduction empowers fulfillment centers to optimize order fulfillment processes and drive operational excellence. Digit integrates seamlessly into warehouse workflows, autonomously handling tote transfer and replenishment processes from a putwall or sortation system, maximizing the system’s utilization and ensuring a continuous throughput of orders.

Why our humanoid robot has legs

Sep 25, 2024

At Agility, we make humanoid robots that are made for work. Our robot Digit gives people the power of choice. To choose what you want to do and let a helpful machine handle everything else.Today, that work starts where it's needed most -- in warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. Follow our journey as Digit learns new skills and enters new markets.

Digit's First Day of Work at GXO

Oct 2, 2024
On June 5, 2024 Digit completed it's first day of work for GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) as part of regular operations. This is the result of a multi-year agreement between GXO and Agility Robotics to begin deploying Digit in GXO’s logistics operations. This agreement, which follows a proof-of-concept pilot in late 2023, is both the industry’s first formal commercial deployment of humanoid robots and first Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) deployment of humanoid robots.
