Honda showcases new connected car and automated driving technologies

Demonstrated at the 2014 ITS World Congress in Detroit from September 7th-11th.

The first-ever U.S. demonstration of Honda's automated driving technology with industry-leading capabilities including automated motorway merging, exiting and lane changing, as well as a unique, new vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) 'virtual tow' capability for assisting a driver in distress.

Also highlighted was Honda's other latest advancements in 'V2X' technologies, including vehicle-to-pedestrian/bicycle (V2P/B) and vehicle-to-motorcycle (V2M).

Apple CarPlay

The 2016 Honda Accord is the first of many Honda vehicles to feature Apple CarPlay. Supported apps include Phone, Messages, Maps, Music and compatible third party apps. Apple CarPlay is compatible with iOS 7.1 or later and iPhone 5 or later
