Necoro was a robot cat developed by Omron in Japan, as a sort of competitor to the Aibo. I fear the original website may not last forever; so here it is!

There was no way of convincing my wife to adopt a fourth cat. "Three are enough" she always said. What about a cat who doesn't run across your house breaking things, doesn't scratch your sofa and doesn't steal your meal, but still looks like he's a real cat? Here's my red tabby NeCoRo straight from Japan - he's really cute and has it's own personality, exactly like the other three cats already in the family. BTW they appear in the video as guest stars

It is worth nothing that this is the only toy which can attract attention of my cats every time I pull him out of the box. They are so jealous of Necoro that they try to hit him if they can!

This robot cat was produced in year 2000 in a limited edition of 5,000 and then the production was shut down. Sort of an AI experiment, I have been told these were used for pet therapy. For sure it looks damn real and so... kitty if you know what I mean. Would not disappoint any cat lover.
