Totally Integrated Automation - End-of-line packaging machine

Published on Apr 10, 2014

Totally Integrated Automation from Siemens at Hannover Messe 2014.
In the Engineering sector, we are demonstrating the efficient collaboration of all automation components with Totally Integrated Automation - https://www.siemens.com/tia - by means of a end-of-line packaging machine. The open system architecture of TIA can be seen in the simple integration of the SICK sensors and a KUKA robot into the overall application. All automation elements were configured with the innovative Engineering Framework TIA Portal, which can yield time savings of up to 30%.

Correct decisions in ADAS and automated driving

Published on Jul 3, 2019

Among the fundamental questions associated with development of ADAS and automoted driving systems, one looms especially large: How do such systems make correct decisions? The answer, explains Siemens Automotive Technology Manager David Fritz, is to first model the system's key components -- sensors, embedded software and, most important, SoCs -- in increasingly high-fidelity. Fritz: "You need a full auto digital twin platform. And it can be constructed today from existing Siemens technology." For more information, please read this May 15, 2019 announcement on the Siemens PAVE360 program.
