Universal Robots has reinvented industrial robotics with lightweight, flexible robot arms. Tasks previously thought impossible to automate due to cost and complexity, are now achievable with the user-friendly robots. The Danish-designed robot arms work separately or as dual arms demonstrated here with the UR5. In more than 45 countries, from the small machine shop to the large auto assembly line, Universal Robots optimize production, relieve employees from strenuous or monotonous tasks, and ensure quality control.
Why spend time moving the items from pallets up into a tray? Now you can set the entire pallet with items directly from the saw - and let the robot do the rest thanks to a Palletizer Application developed by our Danish distributor, KJV.
The machine shop Rea Automatdrejning in Denmark uses this new Palletizer Application. Placed in the middle between two Index V160 machines, one UR10 robot from Universal Robots handles the feeding of both machines. The items weigh 10 kilograms each, and the robot works night and day, and it reliefs the operators at Rea Automatdrejning from strenuous work.
We programmed Universal Robots' UR5 Robot Arm - a manufacturing robot - to high five Mashable's Lance Ulanoff.
Universal Robots goes food industry! From March 24th - 27th, 2015, our German distribution partner M?ller Maschinentechnik is at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne with one of our robot applications. Visit the booth B077 in hall 10.1 and see this interesting application with UR10 feeding a washing machine from JEROS.
With a cage-free UR10 robot Orkla Foods automated a manual task in their plant in Kumla in Sweden. The UR10 robot paid itself back within only 6 months. Orkla is now looking into other automation possibilities in their food production where they can benefit from the collaborative robots UR3, UR5 and UR10 from Universal Robots.
UR10 helps food company Orkla Foods in Kumla streamline production and create operational stability in the packing of food in cartons. It proved very easy to implement and easy to teach the employees to handle and operate the robot. It works well in various networks of production machines, is easy to move and requires no extensive safety installations.
The founder of Universal Robots, Esben Ostergaard demonstrates the lightweight and flexible Universal Robots UR5 which lets you automate repetitive and dangerous tasks with payloads of up to 5 kg. Low-weight collaborative processes, such as: picking, placing and testing are all perfect for the UR5. With a working radius of up to 850mm, the UR5 puts everything within reach, freeing up your employees’ time to add value to other stages of the production.
The Universal Robots UR5 is easy to program, offers fast set up, is collaborative and safe, and like our other collaborative robots, offers one of the fastest payback times in the industry. You can read more about the advantages of a UR robot on this page:

One of the world’s largest manufacturers of bathroom accessories and auto parts, Xiamen Runner Industrial Corporation in China, has installed 64 UR cobots to upgrade the efficiency of the production process by establishing a highly-efficient, flexible, and reliable production line. The UR robots are installed in 10 different applications ranging from injection molding machine tending, gas testing and product assembly.
With a cobot from Universal Robot you get flexible automation, flexible workforce and a flexible production
The UR20 is the first in Universal Robots’ next generation of industrial cobots designed to take performance to new heights, while embracing the UR hallmarks of versatility, usability and small footprints. With a 1750 mm reach and 20 kg payload capacity, UR's next generation cobot handles more tasks, fits more applications, and assists in more environments than ever before.
Universal Robots continues its innovation journey by launching new 30 kg collaborative robot at iREX in Japan on November 29.
UR30 is the second in Universal Robot’s new series of innovative, next generation cobots and is built on the same architecture as the award-winning UR20. Despite its compact size, UR30 offers extraordinary lift, and its superior motion control ensures the perfect placement of large payloads allowing it to work at higher speeds and lift heavier loads.
