Yuanxingzhe-1 (元行者一号, YXZ-1) is a reusable launch vehicle developed by Sepoch (Beijing Jianyuan Technology Co., Ltd./Space Epoch, 北京箭元科技有限责任公司/ 箭元科技). According to Sepoch, the first stage is designed to be recovered by controlled splashdown and reused for up to 20 times. On 29 May 2025, the first launch and splashdown test was successfully conducted at the Haiyang spaceport (东方航天港/Oriental Spaceport), Shandong province, China. The engine used in the test was LongYun 70 (LY-70, liquid oxygen/liquid methane, LY70005) provided by JiuZhou Yunjian Space Technology Co., Ltd. (九州云箭空间科技有限公司). The test article (4.2m diameter, ~26.8m height) achieved an altitude on 2.5km during the 125 seconds flight, performed a controlled splashdown and was successfully recovered and returned to the factory for inspection.
