This video demonstrates some of the features and capabilities of the "Spider Mite". The Spider Mite is a small, nimble, low profile robot with a wireless color pan/tilt camera on a 4WD all-terrain vehicle. It can climb 45 degree inclines and carry 5 lbs. of gear. It is equipped to see in total darkness and the operator has the option to record the streaming live video feed. The video shows the vehicle crawling in a crawl space one floor below the operator and suggests some other applications.

The Platform is a custom build for a customer who wants to inspect the under-carriage of trucks for a quick safety Inspection. A customer needed a robot to inspect the interior of wind turbine blades. I worked with them to develop this solution. We call it the Super Spider. It features a live-feed high-definition video camera. and is able to record the inspection, climb a 30? incline and jump over a 1.5" cable all at the same time.
