NU Hybrid Quadruped navigating through mixed terrain environment using locomotion strategy selection. Locomotion strategy selection between legged and wheeled locomotion is performed by acquiring a real-time depth image stream from DS-325 (DepthSense RGB-Depth camera, SoftKinetics) and processing it using machine learning algorithms to classify different types of terrain. The experiment is perfomed at the atrium of the Nazarbayev University (Astana, Kazakhstan).
