High-density warehouse storage with mobile robots (AMRs) | Brightpick Giraffe

Feb 4, 2025

Brightpick Giraffe is an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) capable of reaching heights of 20 feet (6 m), resulting in three times the warehouse storage density compared to manual operations.Brightpick Giraffe is designed to work alongside our Autopicker robots. It retrieves storage totes from upper-level shelf locations and delivers them to lower levels, where an Autopicker can access them for picking (up to a height of 11 feet / 3.4 m). After the pick is completed, Giraffe efficiently returns the product tote to its original upper-level storage location. This innovative system maximizes both density and throughput by storing slower-moving items on upper levels (accessible to Giraffes) and fast-moving products within easy reach of Autopickers on lower levels. In a typical setup, the solution will include one Giraffe for five Autopickers, creating an optimal balance between cost, density, and performance. Beyond their primary tote retrieval function, Giraffes can also handle inventory replenishment and order picking using Goods-to-Person stations. The Brightpick Giraffe is a competitive alternative to other high-density AMR systems like Geek+ Roboshuttle, Hai Robotics or Quicktron.

Lights-out warehouse automation is here

Nov 18, 2025

Lights-out warehouse fulfillment is finally here – enabled by Brightpick AI robots.

With our latest software and AI upgrades, Autopicker now supports fully lights-out night shifts, allowing warehouses to operate without on-site staff during nights and weekends.

Our Autopicker robots autonomously handle picking, buffering, and sortation so that every order is staged and ready for immediate packing at the start of the next shift.

This lets companies extend operating hours with zero incremental labor cost, thereby boosting throughput and speeding up order delivery.

Several customers, such as The Feed, are already running fully automated overnight operations and seeing strong gains in both throughput and service levels.
