Chaos small robot platform (v. 2)

Uploaded on Apr 14, 2010

The Chaos High Mobility Robot is more capable than ever, with hot-swappable internal battery/payload bays and the ability to carry over 100 lbs. Battery life is at least four hours, with the upper limit and range not yet determined. As a platform, Chaos will work with almost any payload or arm, and can accept alternate power sources and radio solutions, as well. (This video shows the arm ASI designed for the previous Chaos design bolted onto an improvised rack with an external battery.) Tracks can now be adjusted and changed without the use of tools. Chaos is currently being used for several military functions as well as underground mining operations.

Chaos 2014

Published on Apr 21, 2014

The Chaos High Mobility Robot continues to be one of ASI's most popular robots. Its durable build, independently rotating tracks, and ability to handle a variety of payloads places Chaos in a class of its own among similar small robot platforms. Chaos is useful for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), hazardous materials handling, reconnaissance, exploration, and surveillance, and more. The superior carrying capacity and ability to quickly scale rugged terrain also makes it ideal for troop support. Watch now as Chaos scales rugged terrain, hauls people, swims through snow, and climbs stairs.
