In this video Prof. Chris Westbury of the Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, AB, Canada) gives an invited talk at the University of Tuebingen. The full title of this lecture is "A Feeling for the Word: Co-occurrence, Emotion and Lexical Access." In this talk Prof. Westbury discusses his work on the psycholinguistics of the emotional impact of words. He explains how certain subjective measures of words, a word's concreteness and it's subjective frequency are predictable from co-occurrence statistics and their use in the context of emotion category words.
