My name is Kathleen Cherrington, and I am a Doctoral Candidate, at York University in the Gender, Feminism, and Gender Studies Program. I am a researcher embarking on a study to explore the diverse experiences and perspectives of individuals engaging with AI and VR sextech and/or human sex industries for my doctoral dissertation. My study on this forum will take place until March 12, 2025, and then I will delete my profile. For more information, concerns, or questions, my email is [email protected].
Purpose of my study: This research project focuses on AI erobotics and VR sextech, a modern, ever-changing, and futuristic field. This project will help to determine and evaluate the most important debates regarding the current popular uptake of erobots in the commodified human sex industry and the impacts it has or will have on participants in these sexual economies. This feminist ethnography is being conducted for my doctoral dissertation, and I am seeking research participants for interviews.
I have been provided consent and approval from the online forum administrators before posting anything on this forum. I will not observe forum members for the study unless they have opted into the study by asking for an "Informed Consent Form for Observing Online Forum Users” signing it, and returning it to me. Furthermore, if you would like to partake in a confidential and anonymized interview, please ask for the “Informed Consent Forms for Interviews” sign it, and return it to me at [email protected].
Without explicit and signed consent, your posts and profile will not be observed for this study. If you have any further questions, please feel free to either email me directly, privately message me on the forum, reply to my advertisement posting on the thread, or block me on the forum. It is important to convey that I will only be observing or interviewing explicitly consenting participants for this study, who have signed and submitted the provided consent forms to [email protected].
