Dog - France Cadet

Uploaded on May 25, 2008

This installation presents seven autonomous dog robots, that have been transformed, hacked and reprogrammed so their appearance and behaviour are now hybrid of several different animal species (dog, cat, cow, pig, sheep, chameleon, jellyfish...) and even human. The modifications of these improbable creatures were based on very real research and experiments... and demonstrate their possible consequences.

"Robot, mon Amour" (my Love the Robot) - Interactive Cyborg

Published on Jan 10, 2014

France Cadet performs into the shape of a gynoid through this series of 18 digital and interactive prints.

Following the aesthetic standards of science fiction, those hybrids reflect the contemporary imagination of cyborgs. Half robot and half woman, into the shape of a female android, the artist explores and questions the functioning of the human body, its feelings, emotions and communication between man and machine.

Both natural and artificial, erotic and robotic, inner and outer, real and unreal...
Those hybrid bio-mechanical bodies naturally artificial by definition, call us to interact with them through our senses (touching, caressing..)

"HoloLesson #32" Holographic animation - France Cadet

Sexual objectification or robotics erotism?
France Cadet once again diverses the seduction lesson from a famous French lingerie brand, with a holographic version of Lesson 32.
This animation is made from the 3D files of the previous 3D printing sculpture: « CyberLesson #32 » which represents a cyborg sculpture of the artist kneeling on the ground hands tied, like those fashionable Japanese human faced android, the sculpture seems able to feel and have sexual needs...or is it just programming? It's up to you to say...
