TEDxKC 2013: Defy Impossible. As western cities grapple with the issues of density, the automobile addiction and integrating mass transit things can quickly reach an impossible gridlock. The typical approach often looks to just repeat one of a short list of solutions that have already been implemented. The rider's experience and needs are often left in the backseat. However possibilities can emerge if one looks up to the rider and their role in the success of systems.
Jared is a frog fellow. He believes experience is key to design and has spent more than a decade finding value for the user in innovative technology and bringing solutions to large organizations. He favors effective over expensive and form following emotion. Outside of frog as an activist for public skate parks he has seen users push cities to build the impossible and succeed in creating innovative infrastructure that engages culture and builds community.
