ST Robotics R12 fitted with optional extra 6th Axis. Part 1 shows various exercises to demonstrate 6-axis versatility. Note at the end of this section the wheel is not rolling - it is a computed move (using pi and diameter of the wheel). Part 2 shows the robot stacking small parts on a spike. Each part is at a 13 degree angle so 6 axes are necessary for this task.
Each character is a route. It is shifted to a new start position using the START-HERE command.
Some robot calisthenics, screwing, writing.
A miniature robot tool changer engaged/disengaged by the robot without electrics or pneumatics. It can take 5 electrical connections and 3 pneumatic connections through the changer to tools such as pneumatic gripper, vacuum pickup, electric gripper, USB etc.
System built by Northside Engineering
In this clip the camera is mounted on the robot. The robot goes to the area where the object is expected. The camera grabs the coordinates and orientation of the object relative to the robot. The robot can then pick up the object regardless of its position.
Bench top collaborative robot arms: 3 types of robots, R12, R17, R19. Low cost, reliable, lots of accessories including grippers, vacuum, tool changers, opto-isolated expansion cards and above all the easy interactive RoboForth software. Educational bundle available with I/O trainer, spiral bound workbooks and tutorial.
The design simplicity and years of production experience make them phenomenally reliable and we back that up with a 2 year warranty. The RoboForth software is natural and easy to use, with hundreds of English language words in its dictionary. You can even control it with voice commands over the Internet. Equally it is capable of levels of complexity not possible with other robot systems.
The decades ST has been selling robots should not be under-valued. It's called experience. The numerous small robots on the market often demonstrate one important weakness: no industrial experience. Our years in the business and wide range of modular accessories, grippers, vacuum pickups and so on are a result of working with hundreds of different industrial users. By now of course all our designs are totally bug free and phenomenally reliable. There is a demonstration unit that is online and can be controlled by webcam. In 2018 it ran a continuous test clocking up a million cycles over 9 months. The software RoboForth is interactive and really fast to learn. It has been proven to be bug free and easy to use by industrial users who may never have programmed anything before. You can honestly get going in a few minutes.
