Semblr is probably the most famous canteen employee in the UK at the moment. That is because the centerpiece of Semblr is a robot, or to be more precise: a KR AGILUS. Since September 2021, it has been putting together fresh rice dishes for the workforce of online grocery retailer Ocado in Hatfield. The brains behind Semblr are to be found at integrator Karakuri, a London startup that currently has 36 employees. Two Karakuri employees assist him and fill the ingredients into Semblr’s serving chambers. The KR AGILUS robot arm is responsible for mixing and serving the ingredients. Hygienically, meticulously and quickly.
QUOKKA, a local UAE-based company, has partnered with NISKA Retail Robotics, an Australian-born tech start-up, to open the first ice cream bar entirely staffed by robots.
The store is present inside the premises of Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi (UAE). Our Master Distributor in the Gulf region, Jacky’s, has worked along with NISKA’s technical team to integrate their solution with Pepper.
They teach me how to make sandwiches with leftover #Thanksgiving turkey, but not how to eat them.
Take a look at this 7 ingredient printed dessert and ask yourself if conventional cooking appliances such as ovens, stovetops and microwaves may one day be replaced by cooking devices that incorporate three-dimensional (3D) printers, lasers, or other software-driven processes.

Excited to share our latest collaborative work on humanoid robot behaviors with Draco 3. We look forward to a day that these robots can help us at home and at work to perform dull and time consuming tasks! Title: Cafe Robot: Integrated AI Skillset Based on Large Language Models
Authors: Jad Tarifi, Nima Asgharbeygi, Shuhei Takamatsu, Masataka Goto
Abstract:
The cafe robot engages in natural language inter-action to receive orders and subsequently prepares coffee and cakes. Each action involved in making these items is executed using AI skills developed by Integral, including Integral Liquid Pouring, Integral Powder Scooping, and Integral Cutting. The dialogue for making coffee, as well as the coordination of each action based on the dialogue, is facilitated by the Integral Task Planner.
Complex tasks like this can be easily solved in DinoRobotStudio software. More information can be found on our website: http://www.dino-robotics.com
'NAVER 1784' is the world's largest robotics testbed. The Starbucks on the second floor of 1784 is the world's most unique Starbucks, with more than 100 service robots called "Rookie" delivering Starbucks drinks to meeting rooms and private seats, and various experiments with a dual-arm robot.
