Lynn Crocket is blowing up stereotypes to engage students from around the world to play with robots. Welcome to the universe of robotics leagues that positions science and engineering as a spectator sport.
Lynn is the Education Programs Manager at LEGOLAND® California, leading STEM programming, events, and marketing. She shares her ideas at LEGOLAND properties worldwide, including Billund, Denmark and Windsor, England. As Operational Partner for FIRST® LEGO League, Lynn leads a committed, strategic group of robot-obsessed friends who nurture teams and run FIRST® LEGO League robotics tournaments for regional and international students. She also co-founded the nonprofit SoCal Robotics League.
Her roots and passion are in education. Lynn taught special needs youth, and directed a private school in Illinois and Texas. Lynn has a master’s degree in Education from Illinois State University, and post-graduate work at Texas Woman’s University. As executive director of a local foundation, Lynn led the Kids Are Worth a Million charge to raise $1M for technology in schools.
