BilletID Automated Robotic Tagging System

Concept Systems' BilletID utilizes 3D machine vision with a Nachi MC series robot to create a flexible, automated billet tagging system. The turnkey system attaches identification tags to billets, blooms, slabs, and blanks in the casting area immediately after cutting, while the product travels across a cooling bed. The tags have human-readable data in addition to barcodes, providing fail-safe tracking of production. The automated solution ensures tagging accuracy while eliminating safety risks associated with human operators having to manually apply tags to 1,000°F steel billets.
