Nadar Al-Naji tried several years ago to build a business called Basis around a stablecoin -- and gave $130 million back to his investors when regulators rendered the business almost impossible to build. Now he's back with a decentralized social blockchain called Deso that has separately raised hundreds of millions of dollars through the sale of its tokens. Will he have to shut it down again or could it become a force in the crypto industry? Interviewer Erin Griffith of the New York Times talks with him here.
