This week I'm talking to Neha Singh. She and I met briefly during my time at Walmart and it was fun to catch up on what’s going on in the world of retail. Neha’s company, Obsess, is an experiential e-commerce platform that enables brands and retailers to serve highly engaging virtual stores on their websites. For example, last holiday season, the Sam’s Club team had an amazing (and hilarious!) National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation virtual shopping experience for customers to interact with and buy directly from.

Given the disruption the pandemic had on the e-commerce landscape, Obsess has seen rapid over the last year. Neha and I discuss how to navigate conversations with investors around an ever-changing business, ideas to share a long-term vision that outlines B2B while still painting the picture of B2C possibilities, and how every technologist can become a storyteller. Neha is solving a real customer need that has the potential to scale in big ways — excited to see how her execution changes the game for how we shop online. Take a listen!
