A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V 501 launch vehicle launched the Protoflight mission for Amazon’s Project Kuiper, from Space Launch Complex 41 (SLC-41) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, on 6 October 2023, at 18:06 UTC (14:06 EDT). According to ULA, the Protoflight mission will deliver two prototype satellites into low Earth orbit (LEO) for Project Kuiper.
