Infrastructure to integrate and scale air taxi services in cities

Published on Apr 17, 2018

Watch how Volocopter imagines the future of urban transport to look like. Have a look at the day to day operations transporting up to 10.000 passengers a day with a single point to point connection. Inside the system you can see how you alight, batteries are charged, where the aircrafts are stored and how you will embark and take off. This infrastructure system allows urban air taxis to offer a comprehensive mobility network across the largest cities.

Co-founder Alex Zosel – first person to ever fly a Volocopter - expects the first full Volocopter hub systems to be in place within the next 10 years, capable of flying 100.000 passengers an hour to their desired destination.

Volocopter flies over Singapore‘s Marina Bay

November 4, 2019

Volocopter, the pioneer in Urban Air Mobility (UAM), successfully completed its first manned flight over Singapore’s Marina Bay today. This was the last trial of a demanding test series to verify and validate the ability of Volocopter air taxis to fly over the area. Government authorities including the Ministry of Transport (MOT), the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), and the Economic Development Board (EDB) supported Volocopter in this testing phase and will continue to do so in the future. This flight kicks-off Volocopter’s efforts to bring commercial air taxi services to Singapore.
