naro-tartaruga Pool Tests

Published on Nov 21, 2012

The new robot naro-tartaruga. This video shows the first pool tests. A fully actuated and independand 3DOF fin actuation system is the main speciality of this robot. This actuation system allows efficient as well as agile movements! Have a look at how natural it already moves!
Naro tartaruga shall be a platform for further research on bio-inspired locomotion, autonomous underwater navigation, inspection.

naro - nanins edutainment robot

Published on Jul 3, 2013

the nanins are the newest robots of the naro family.
This edutainment robot teaches kids about many things in biology and physics and shall motivate and raise their interests in robotics and research.

Four 2d fin actuator modules can be attached on any part of the main body.Various "fish types" can thus be imitated. From four flipper turtles, dolphins, or many other types.
The robot also has a dive cylinder that allows static diving. Currently they are controlled by wire, but wireless communication will be added shortly.
