First test of the Chiara Mantis robot swaying forward and back. This looks simple, but it requires solving inverse kinematics for all six legs. Near the end of the video you can see how the springs on the middle and back leg elevators help the robot absorb and recover from disturbances.
Public demo of the Chiara Mantis robot changing postures and taking a few tentative steps. The head has three degrees of freedom instead of the usual two; the middle and back legs have four degrees of freedom instead of the usual three. The front legs have six degrees of freedom. Demo code by Chengxiong Ruan.
