Watch Dr. Matt Wood, GM of Deep Learning and AI perform a demo of AWS DeepRacer.
Get hands-on with a fully autonomous 1/18th scale race car driven by reinforcement learning, 3D racing simulator, and global racing league. AWS DeepRacer is a 1/18th scale race car which gives you an interesting and fun way to get started with reinforcement learning (RL). RL is an advanced machine learning (ML) technique which takes a very different approach to training models than other machine learning methods. Its super power is that it learns very complex behaviors without requiring any labeled training data, and can make short term decisions while optimizing for a longer term goal.
With AWS DeepRacer, you now have a way to get hands-on with RL, experiment, and learn through autonomous driving. You can get started with the virtual car and tracks in the cloud-based 3D racing simulator, and for a real-world experience, you can deploy your trained models onto AWS DeepRacer and race your friends, or take part in the global AWS DeepRacer League. Developers, the race is on.
Check out highlights of all the live AWS DeepRacer action from AWS re:Invent 2018!
The race in on! Watch the action at the re:Invent International Speedway where three customers compete to be crowned the AWS DeepRacer re:Invent League 2018 Champion.
This is a trailer video previewing AWS DeepRacer and the DeepRacer League. AWS DeepRacer is an autonomous race car that is 1/18th the size of a life size race that is driven by reinforcement learning. AWS DeepRacer and the AWS DeepRacer League provide aspiring machine learning developers with not only a tool, but a venue to compete to learn machine learning.
AWS DeepRacer TV follows the world’s first autonomous racing league, an AWS / Intel-sponsored reinforcement learning competition that features developers of every background and skill level hoping to qualify for a chance to win the Championship Cup at AWS re:Invent 2019. Build, Train, Tune, Race!

Morningstar uses AWS DeepRacer to provide hands-on training to its employees and accelerate the application of machine learning across its investing products, services and processes. More than 445 employees from multiple functions and 8 countries—including 35 percent of Morningstar's technology function—are taking part in Morningstar's very own version of the DeepRacer League.
Tested visits the labs of AWS DeepRacer, the 1/18th scale race car that learns to speed through a track through machine learning. Senior Applied Scientist Sahika Genc takes us under the hood of DeepRacer and the newly announced DeepRacer Evo to show how upgrades to the fully autonomous car now allow for head-to-head competition! Stay tuned for more from our visit to the DeepRacer lab, and for our coverage of the DeepRacer League at this year's AWS re:Invent!
How does machine learning work and what are its applications? Mike Miller, General Manager of AWS AI Devices walks us through the story of DeepRacer, the autonomous RC car that utilizes Machine Learning and Reinforncement Learning to speedily navigate around a track. We're at AWS reInvent this week to watch teams compete in the DeepRacer League Championship Cup!
After a full year of summit and online competitions, the top AWS DeepRacer competitors travel to Las Vegas to face off in the DeepRacer Championship Cup! We chat with competitors and learn how they've developed models to send the DeepRacer autonomous RC car around a track it's never seen before, and the strategies to keep pace with the world's best.
